Dr.Stefania Passamonte is an international concert pianist, recording artist, music educator, radio broadcaster and judge at international competition.
She is the Founder and President of the London Performing Academy of Music-LPMAM, a UK Music Conservatoire focused on Innovation, Diversity and Inclusion. She is also Director and Council member of the BPI-British Phonographic Industry, voting member of the BRITs Awards Academy in the UK and voting member of the Recording Academy for the Grammy’s Awards in the US. Since 2018, she is also producer and presenter of the radio programme “Future Classic Women Awards” on the award winning WRS/MRS in UK. Stefania is concertmaster and performance graduate from the St.Cecilia Academy in Portogruaro, Royal Academy of Music in London and Ecole Normale in Paris. Twice Gold Medal winner at The Akademia Awards in Los Angeles and Silver Medal at the Global Music Awards, her solo albums with major works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann and the complete “Transcendental Studies” by Liszt have been selected at the prestigious Grammy’s Awards in Los Angeles as best soloist and best album of the Classic fields, while she appeared to the red carpet of the Classic BRITs Awards and BRITs Awards in London in several editions. Her recordings are broadcasted by the major Classical radios worldwide, including BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM in UK, while many solo recitals and concertos with the orchestra have been televised broadcasts, including BBC, ITV and Channel 4 in UK, RAI and Sky TV in Italy, TVG in Spain, 1plus1 TV in Ukraine, BCI in Canada among the others. Stefania has given recitals in the major concert halls worldwide, including Royal Albert Hall and “St Martin in The Fields” in London, Warsaw Philharmonic Hall in Poland, Sala Puccini in Milan and Pavarotti Theatre in Modena, Palau da Musica in Valencia, Sibelius Hall in Finland, Varna Opera Theatre in Bulgaria, Casa da Musica in Porto, Noho Theatre in Los Angeles and Steinway Hall in New York. Solo Concertos include the Lathi Symphony Orchestra, and the Varna Philharmonic Orchestra. Stefania won several awards, among which the prestigious “Premio Ghirlandina” given by her hometown Modena to an artist “distinguished in the international panorama for special merits and success” (fellow citizens award winners include Luciano Pavarotti and Mirella Freni). Stefania is recipient of the 2020 Artist Vision Award, a once-in-a-lifetime award bestowed by the Akademia in Los Angeles in recognition of her exceptional talent, originality and vision in the field of music: “A visionary artist destined to shape the course of Classical music and broaden the musical landscape in the years to come”. In January 2022 she also received the Freedom of the City of London, an honour given in recognition of her exceptional merits and service to the UK capital.
