TechTrailblazers Den – One-Day Innovation Challenge

Objective: Empower students to tackle environmental challenges through technological creativity, from coding applications to designing innovative engineering solutions.

TechTrailblazers Den is a dynamic one-day program designed to engage students in solving environmental issues using the power of technology. Through hands-on projects and collaborative challenges, participants explore how coding, engineering, and digital innovation can drive sustainability. Each participant will receive a certificate as an official “TechTrailblazer,” and one standout student will be named the “TechTrailblazer Innovator,” representing their school in future tech-driven environmental initiatives.

Schedule for the Day

  1. Welcome & TechTrailblazers Briefing (30 minutes)
    • Implementation:
      The program kicks off with an introduction to TechTrailblazers Den, focusing on the role of technology in solving environmental problems. Students are divided into “Innovation Squads” and receive an overview of the day’s challenges.
    • Objectives:
      • Spark excitement for using technology to create environmental solutions.
      • Set the tone for innovation and teamwork.
    • Impact:
      • Inspires a forward-thinking mindset.
      • Encourages collaboration from the outset.
  1. Activity 1: E-Waste Rescue Mission (1 hour)
    • Implementation:
      Students participate in an e-waste challenge, learning how to dismantle, sort, and safely dispose of old tech devices. They brainstorm creative ways to repurpose or recycle components.
    • Objectives:
      • Educate on the environmental impact of e-waste and responsible disposal practices.
      • Foster innovation in repurposing materials.

      Students draft a TechTrailblazers Pledge, committing to responsible tech use and sustainability. All participants receive certificates as “TechTrailblazers,” and the standout “TechTrailblazer Innovator” is recognized for their exceptional creativity and leadership.

      • Celebrate achievements and inspire continued innovation.
      • Create a lasting commitment to sustainable tech practices.
